FireStudio is an informal collective of enthusiasts, founded during its members' higher education at INSA Lyon. It is neither a company nor an association, but a group united by their passion for video game creation. The collective has structured itself over time thanks to an entrepreneurship support program at INSA Lyon.
The FireStudio team consists of: Leonardo (developer & game designer, founder), Chloé (developer, game designer & creator of the visual identity), Julien (developer & infrastructure manager), Lucas (developer & video editor), and Sarah (3D artist & level artist, Game Sup graduate with experience at Evil Empire). Discover them in detail on the Team page.
Flammy is the official mascot of FireStudio. It's a small flame-shaped character, that embodies the studio's visual identity. Flammy exists in dozens of variations (Discord emojis, stickers, badges, hoodies) and has become an iconic symbol of the collective. Flammy also appears in the site's mini-games.
PROJECTS & GAMES
FireStudio has developed several projects: Space Shooter (space shooter), FireDefense (tower defense), HengerAI (3D shooter), NavOw (procedural generation), Mortiferum Lumen (puzzle), as well as a web mini-game named DroppyFall.
FireStudio primarily uses Unreal Engine for developing its PC and mobile games. For web projects like the site's mini-games, the studio uses Godot Engine. This technological diversity allows the team to adapt to the specific needs of each project.
FireStudio's mini-games are playable directly in your web browser, with no download required. Head to the Mini-games page on our site to discover DroppyFall.
FireStudio's Yams is a mobile dice game currently in development with Unreal Engine. It can be played solo or in multiplayer, and features original game modes with special dice. It is the studio's main project, designed to revisit this classic board game.
DroppyFall is a mini-game playable directly in your web browser on the FireStudio website. You play as Flammy and must dodge the Droppys falling from the sky. This game was developed by Matthieu Laurent, a former member of the studio. Initially, the mini-game was a hidden easter egg on the site. It eventually became an official game accessible from the mini-games page.

WaterStudio is a fictional rival studio of FireStudio, invented by Matthieu as an inside joke. It is represented by the Droppy mascot, a water drop. On the website, an alternative "Droppy" mode lets you see the entire site in WaterStudio's blue color theme. It's a humorous easter egg that is part of FireStudio's identity.
